HOUSE CALLS
is a portable theatrical event that opens its doors on Europe for glimpses inside the walls.
“Housed” or hosted in each space are scenes from the building’s unique history. Through dialogue, silent scenes, music and fine art, House Calls relives memories that the building has, or could have. The audience moves through the space, exploring the nooks and crannies of the building, discovering the scenes and sounds that House Calls creates. Audience members choose the moments they wish to experience, and each spectator witnesses the lives affected by Europe’s diverse and shared pasts. The scenes can be realistic, historically accurate, or entirely fictional and “off-the-wall”. The architectural and cultural history of each space inspires and formulates each new production of House Calls.
In this age of virtual space, House Calls celebrates the real.
